摘要:
Response to an article by W. D. Ward entitled “Use of Sensation Level in Measurements of Loudness and of Temporary Threshold Shift” [J. Acoust. Soc. Am.39, 736–740 (1966)] in which Ward disagrees with our conclusion that intersubject threshold differences are not accompanied by loudness recruitment. We attempt to show that Ward's demonstration of interfrequency recruitment in individual ears is irrelevant to our conclusion. We also take issue with the style of writing used by Ward.
