摘要:

First record of Cylindrotheca fusiformis var. fusiformis Reimann et Lewin in the Mediterranean Sea. - The Authors report the presence of the pennate diatomCylindrotheca fusiformisvar.fusiformisin the coastal plankton off the coast of the Romagna region of central Italy where it frequently gives rise to phytoplankton blooms. The Authors give some information on the morphology of the species using both light and electron microscopy.
