A newly reported hemostatic metal clip designed for cervical biopsy was used in 51 patients by 14 physicians. The clips were easy to apply and remove and were effective for cervical and vaginai application. Little or no discomfort occurred at placement, subsequently, or when they were removed. Satisfactory, prompt hemostasis resulted, and complications due to the clip were not observed. A variety of clip sizes is recommended.
