摘要:
Effect of three nitrogenous fertilizers on the composition of soil solution was studied for a saline sodic soil high in carbonates. Ammonium fertilizers (sulphate and nitrate) reduced pH of soil solution considerably, carbonates disappeared and there occurred an increase in the sodium content resulting from exchange with ammonium ions. Composition of soil solution underwent little change when urea was incorporated due to prevention of its hydrolysis in the presence of excess quantity of carbonates and the prevailing high pH.
