摘要:

January, 1976 CONFERENCES AND MEETINGS 31 some experience in instrumentation but wishing to broaden their knowledge and contractors, managers and others indirectly concerned with instruments. For people such as instrument engineers, designers, laboratory workers and process supervisors, the school will provide a valuable opportunity to gain a broad practical know- ledge of process analysis and its applications. It will be attractive to people working as instrument manufacturers and contractors and to those employed in user industries, such as the chemical, petrochemical, metal manufacturing, power generation and food processing in- dustries. All lecturers have been carefully selected on the basis of their experience in the field and their lecturing ability. In addition to the formal lectures there will be oppor- tunities for discussion and “brains trust” sessions. The evening of March 24th will be devoted to an exhibition of commercially available process analytical instruments. Full information and registration forms are available from the Assistant Secretary, The Institute of Measurement and Control, 20 Peel Street, London, WS. Conferences and M eet i ng s South East Region Meeting Janunvy 27, 1976, ldondon The South East Region of tlic Analytical Division will be holding its first annual General Meeting a t 6.15 p.m.on January 27th, 1976, in the Linnean Society Meeting Rooms, Bur- lington House, Piccaclilly, London, W. l. The brief Annual General Meeting will be followed, a t approximately 6.30 p.m., by a talk by Peter Sand, Head of Research of the Con- sumers’ Adssociation, publishers of Which ?, on “Research and Testing for the Consumer.” Members and non-members are invited to attend this talk, and ladies are particularly welcome.Process Analytical Instrumentation School Mnvch 22-26, 1976, Wavwick Plans for the third school under the above title have been completed by the Institute of Measurement and Control.
