AbstractHealth Action International is an informal co-operating network of some 50 consumer, development action and other public interest groups worldwide. The HAI network works to further the safe, rational and economic use of pharmaceuticals; to promote the full implementation of the World Health Organisation's action programme on essential drugs; and to look for non-drug solutions to the problems created by impure water, poor sanitation and nutrition.
