摘要:

This offering for one (1) contact hour is sponsored by the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses, which is accredited as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the Eastern Regional Accrediting Committee of the American Nurses' Association. NAON has been approved as a provider of continuing education by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN Provider Number 03432), and the Florida Board of Registered Nursing (Provider Number 2751007), and the Iowa Board of Nursing (Provider Number 180). Awarding of contact hours is contingent upon successful (75% correct) completion of the test questions.Adults with spinal deformities now have the opportunity for surgical treatment that prevents increase of the spinal curvature as well as the achievement of partial correction of the existing deformity. The adult patient often requires more than one surgical procedure. Complete evaluation including chief complaint, past medical history, social history, and past spinal treatment history by an experienced spine surgeon will result in a recommendation for appropriate spine surgical care. Variations occur in each treatment plan; therefore, the patient must have a complete understanding of the plan individualized for him.
