Rural health care delivery is in the national spotlight as a legislative package is introduced in Congress that will eliminate the urban-rural differential on Medicare reimbursement. Rural health care executives are encouraged by this development, but are still worried that this latest initiative may come too late to save several rural hospitals from closing. HCMR's Associate Editor, Barbara P.
