AbstractThe herbicides propham and chlorpropham at concentrations between 10 and 1000 mg/1 have been shown to reduce the rate of mitosis of human lymphocytes culturedin vitro.Chlorpropham is more anti‐mitotic than propham and the effect of both increased with time of exposure. It is suggested that these compounds be used with great care since the data given here suggest that they are active in human cell
