McKinney (1944), Oatman (1966), and Brubaker (1968) reported that a tachinid,Voria ruralis(Fallen), was the most prevalent parasite recovered from larvae of the cabbage looper,Trichoplusia ni(Hübner), on commercially grown vegetables. Therefore, the potential ofV. ruralisas a biological control agent in an integrated control program is currently being evaluated at the Vegetable Insects Laboratory at Mesa, Ariz.
