摘要:
Trough Lake has a permanent cover of floating ice. Contact of the ice with the Koettlitz Glacier produces pressure ridges which are modified by differential ablation. The estimated ablation rate of 300–450 mm of ice per year is higher than that at Lake Miers, 20 km north, due to the increased prevalence of katabatic winds at Trough Lake.
