摘要:
An artificial substrate deployment device (ASDD) was developed to orient and place 30.5 × 30.5 × 5.1 cm concrete blocks used in a macroinvertebrate colonization study in the lower Mississippi River. The ASDD was used in high velocity (ca. 2.5 m/s), moderately deep (ca. 5–8 m), turbid water where divers could not be used. The device could be used effectively to orient and place similar artificial substrates in marine and freshwater habitats inaccessible to divers.
