A B-Injector in an arbitrary finite groupGis defined as a maximal nilpo-tent subgroup ofG, containing a subgroupAofGof maximal order satisfying class(A) ≥ 2. Among other results the B-Injectors of the sporadic groups J1,J2,J4, M24are determined.
