摘要:
A new type of controller called proportional integral minus delay (PIMD) controller was first proposed by the author. It is shown that, in addition to exhibiting almost the same characteristics as the conventional proportional plus integral plus derivative (PID) controller, the PIMD controller is superior in that it is less sensitive to high frequency noise. Therefore, it seems that an appropriate PIMD controller is a good replacement of a PID controller. In this paper the moments matching method is proposed to design a PIMD controller such that the resulting closed‐loop system may track the given reference model. Since the moments matching method makes the mean, variance, and skewness of the impulse response of the system equal to those of the reference model, the satisfactory design of a PIMD controller is expected. This method is also a computer‐oriented approach.
