摘要:

The pteridological collection assembled by Dameri & Orsino amounts to 54 species and infraspecific taxa. Families and genera are arranged according to the author's classification of Pteridophyta (PICHI SERMOLLI 1977). Some remarks on the taxonomy of the families of Lycopodiaceae, Hymenophyllaceae, Cyatheaceae and Thelypteridaceae are made, particularly on their subdivision into genera and with special reference to the Australian Pteridophyta. Full collection data and concise information on the geographical distribution are given for each species, and comments on their taxonomy, nomenclature and range are added for many of them. Special care is taken to establish their distinctive characteristics. The new speciesDiplazium dameriaePic. Ser. and the new subspeciesSelenodesmium elogantum(A. Cunn.) Copel, subsp.queenslandicumPic. Ser. are described. The following new combinations are established:Phymatopteris simplicissima(F.V. Muell.) Pic. Ser.,Microtrichomanes powellii(Bak.) Pic. Ser. from Samoa Is.,Sphaeropteris feline(Roxb.) Pic. Ser. andTectaria confluens(F. v. Muell. ex Bak.) Pic. Ser. [syn.:Tectaria muelleri(C. Chr.) C. Chr.]. The correct name of the author ofCtenopteris gordoniiS.B. Andrews is established. The following species, referred in Australian publications to species circumscribed in a broad sense or improperly identified, have been submitted to revision and ascribed to different species. The fern from Queensland, formerly assigned toMarattia fraxineaSm. or toM. salicinaSm., is recognized as an independent species:M. oreadesDomin;Microsorum superficialevar.australiense(F.M. Bailey) S.B. Andrews is regarded as a form ofM. punctatum(L.) Copel.; the Australian specimens namedAntrophyum reticulatum(G. Forster) Kaulf. are ascribed toA. callifoliumBlume. According to recent research by other authorsPlatycerium veitchiiUnderw. andP. hilliiT. Moore are treated as subspecies ofP. bifurcatum; Hypolepis punctataof the Australian Floras is assigned toH. glanduliferaBrownsey et Chinnock. Contrary to the opinions of some authors,Selaginella bakerianaF.M. Bailey andPyrrosia dielsii(C. Chr.) Tindale are regarded as independent species and not as varieties ofS. australiensisBak. andP. confluens(R. Br.) Ching respectively. Further observations of various nature, chiefly on taxonomy, regardPellaea falcatavar.nanaHook.,Adiantum silvaticumTindale,Gonocormus saxifragoides(K. Presi) v.d. Bosch,Lindsaea ensifoliasubsp.agatii(Brack.) Kramer and the genusCoveniellaTindale, endemic to Queensland.
