Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in this Licence (a) this Licence shall take effect as a non-exclusive licence in respect of any parts of the Work as were written by an Author in the course of em- ployment by the British Government. (b) this Licence shall take effect only to the extent permitted by the laws of the United States of America if and to the extent that the Work or any gart of the Work was written by an Author in the course of employment 4.
