SummaryThe symptoms of occupational lead poisoning are less and less characteristic. The diagnosis is now essentially based on the counting of red stippled cells, on porphyrinuria and on the dosage of lead in blood and urine. The interpretation of the results of these tests is discussed as well as the value of the urinary excretion test with Ca Na2E.D.T.A.The treatment with chelators is discussed and special reference is made to the possibility of versenate nephrosis.
