摘要:

N-bondedtertiary-butyl isothiocyanate hydrolyzesviaa mechanism that differs from the normal, or S-bonded linkage isomer. The diminutive amount of published kinetic data for the former compound prompted a redetermination of the base-catalyzed rate of hydrolysis of the isothiocyanate in 2% dioxane, ethanol water mixtures at several temperatures using gas-liquid chromatography.
