SummaryA 76-year-old man developed a circulating inhibitor against factor V after abdominal surgery, ampicillin and one unit of blood were given. Twelve days after the cholecystectomy a minor bleeding problem was observed. Coagulation screening test indicated the presence of the potent inhibitor.
