We calculate the moments of inertia ofD‐dimensional spheres and spherical shells, whereDis a complex number. We also examine the moments of inertia of fractional‐dimensional geometrical objects such as the Cantor set and the Sierpinski carpet and theirD‐dimensional analogs.
