Nisoldipine is a new calcium‐channel blocker of the dihydropyridine subclass, with a chemical structure similar to nifedipine. It has been used in clinical trials to assess its efficacy and safety in patients with hypertension, angina pectoris, and congestive heart failure. Similar to other dihydropyridines, nisoldipine is a potent peripheral and coronary dilator. The most optimal dosage regimen has not been established in clinical trials.
