BASU [2] considers the problem of testung the parameters of several linear relations amongstpvariables. Although BASU considers the problems in an econometric setting, it is the familiar problem of testing linear compounds of normal mean vectors, [see e.g., MORRISON [3], p. 121. We may look at BASU's problem in familiar statistical setting and generalize it to the case of vector variates.
