SummaryWe present five patients (mean age±1 SD: 48±19 yrs) with cardiac sarcoidosis.Four patients had conduction disturbances, three showed important arrhytmias on electrocardiogram and one presented heart failure. Holter monitoring and/or stress testing was abnormal in all subjects studied. The201thalliumscintigraphy performed in three patients demonstrated perfusion defects compatible with myocardial sarcoidosis.Before the institution of corticosteroid therapy, several patients received anti-arrhythmic agents, which, however, were not effective. In two patients a pacemaker was implanted. One patient, who refused a pacemaker, recently died.
