SummaryThe intention of this paper is to show a trial of a computeroriented orthopaedic record, on which the first work was started in 1967. The main purpose of our work is storage and retrieval of information, with the help of structured charts which partly replace the old handwritten record.The first information is gathered in the out-patient clinic where mostly diagnosis and treatment information is collected. The largest part of the record, however, concerns the in-patient, and consists of a questionnaire about general health and orthopaedic problems together with specific charts for different conditions.
