Revision of the genusTenagobia(Corixidae) in which the genus is split into seven new subgenera:Tenagobias. str.,Baliagobia, Fasciagobia, Fuscagobia, Incertagobia, RomanogobiaandSchadeogobia. T. serrataDeay is synonymised withT. socialis(White) andT. hungerfordiDeay withT. schadeiLundblad. Lectotypes are designed forT. marmorataBergroth andT. incertaLundblad and the following new species are described:T. testaceafrom Colombia and Ecuador;T. campulafrom Perú;T. lundbladifrom Venezuela and Colombia;T. fasciatafrom SE Brasil,T. baliafrom Brasil, Amazonas andT. aconitafrom Colombia.
