A patient was reported who illustrates the importance of early diagnosis of cystinuria. Hyperuricemia and uric acid lithiasis also were present. This association with cystinuria has been reported previously. In addition, an elevation of blood and urinary glycine was found, the significance of which is unknown. Abnormal blood and urine elevations of various amino acids occasionally have been found in other cystinurics.
