Recent results from theepstorage ring HERA and from thee+e−storage ring DORIS II are discussed. Special emphasis is given to the specific layout of the detectors and to the progress in calorimetry achieved in the last few years. The impact of the ARGUS experiment onB‐ and &pgr;‐physics is discussed. © 1994American Institute of Physics
