The author discusses his findings on a comparative study between the design and technology cultures of the UK and Scandinavia which is being carried out in the Design and Technology Department at Edge Hill College of Higher Education. The programme aims to identify elements of Scandinavian culture, teaching methods and best practices which could enhance the teaching of Design and Technology in the UK.
