The paper deals with an important classification of linear reciprocal passive systems. Inductive and capacitive accretive operators are defined. They represent the most natural generalisation of the familiarRLandRCnetworks. A central theorem suggests how to generate inductive or capacitive operators from familiarRLandRCnetworks.
