摘要:

The physician supervisors of the graduates of one Pediatric N.P. (PNP) program were surveyed concerning their perceptions and expectations of the PNP's rule in the health care system. Seventy-five percent felt that PNP's should take patient histories and initiate anticipatory guidance and that PNP's and physicians should jointly manage well child care, minor illness and episodic acute illness. They viewed the PNP as prodding necessary services, but were unwilling to grant the PNP the independence to manage problems alone. Over fill percent of the supervisors indicated an increase in the volume, range and quality of care of their practices as well as in patients' level of satisfaction due to the presence of the PNP. None indicated a decrease in these areas and half noted an increase in their own professional satisfaction.
