摘要:

Heat transfer rates for a variety of finned tubes in water and asphalt-water emulsion were determined experimentally. From these data, free convection heat transfer coefficients on the outside of the tube were calculated as a function of the Rayleigh number. A correlation of the form Nu = C1(Ra)C2was then determined by a least-squares fit of the data.
