The new genusIphionopsis A. Anderb. (Compositae‐Inuleae‐Inulinae) is described with its two species, transferred from the genusIphionaCass.,I. rotundifolia(Oliv.&Hiern) A. Anderb. from Ethiopia, Somalia, and Kenya, andI. ilicifolia(Humbert) A. Anderb. from Madagascar. The genus is monophyletic, defined by a number of synapomorph
