AbstractThis investigation is based on the phytosociological study of the area (Migahid et al. 1973) which revealed the presence of a psammophilic community (Ammophiletum arenariae) as well as five other communities organized into an alliance (Thymelaeion hirsutae). In addition, several mixtures of these associations also exist. Soil depth and penetrability seem to be decisive characteristics of these associations. To a less extent the fine fraction of the soil and its carbonate content varies in the different associations.
