AbstractThe reaction of single internodal segments of myelinated nerve fibers of living frog tadoples have been observed in minute detail, following many varieties of experimental irritation of both acute and chronic types. The changes that characterize nerve irritation bear a marked resemblance to the early changes that characterize tgrophic (wallerian) de generation after nerve section.
