Summary334 cases of therapeutical pneumothorax have been examined after interruption of the pneumothorax.The beat results have been observed in those cases where a total pulmonary collaps had been obtained.Pleural adhesions must be cut off and if this procedure cannot be used, the pneumothorax must be left. Other surgical procedures are available in those cases such as thoracoplastie or extrapleural pneumothorax.
