摘要:
When appropriate antibiotic therapy does not result in clinical improvement, the reason is less likely to be bacterial resistance than other factors that affect drug-pathogen-host interactions, many of which can be manipulated for the benefit of the patient. A checklist is provided for the physician's consideration when a seemingly correct therapeutic regimen fails to produce a satisfactory response.
