&NA;A patient with isolated cecal metastasis of malignant melanoma whose symptoms of fatigue, exertional dyspnea, and an abdominal mass were relieved by operation is reported. Palliative resection appears to offer significant benefit in patients with symptomatic melanoma involving the colon, particularly if the lesion is solitary
