We present calculations of &pgr;±pbremsstrahlung cross‐sections at an incident pion laboratory kinetic energy of 298 MeV and at backward photon angles. Our formalism incorporates off‐the‐energy‐shell &pgr;pscattering amplitudes and on‐the‐mass‐shell electromagnetic vertices. We compare our theoretical cross‐sections with recent experimental data.
