摘要:

A numerical method for evaluating the intensity at points in the image space of an optical system is developed. This method can be applied to optical systems with any kind of residual aberrations and any pupil transmission function. It is valid for the general case of an axial or extra-axial monochromatic object point. The accuracy of the method is also studied.
