The following topics are discussed with special reference to the temperate freshwater fishes of North America: papillomas, hyperplastic epidermal diseases (including fish pox), parasitic and neoplastic adenomas, carcinomas (incuding thyroid tumors), fibromas, fibro-sarcomas, myxomas, leiomyomas, rhabdomyomas, granulomas, lymphosarcomas, pigment-cell tumors, neurofibromas, neurilemmonas, hamartomas, and teratomas.
