摘要:
Under certain conditions, the presence of a sheath separating electrodes from the body of a plasma can give rise to a reversal of the electric field direction in the discharge. In addition, there may be a considerable gain in the strength of the field. This paper deals with a simplified model of the effect that can be employed as a rather interesting problem in an undergraduate electricity and magnetism course.
