AbstractDistortions of a systematic character may appear in horizontal control networks if the noncoincidence of the geoid with the geodetic reference surface is ignored.This paper deals with the determination of such distortions in the Hellenic first order horizontal control network. Deformation analysis is used, based on the displacement fields due to the absence of the necessary reductions to the observations.
