AbstractWe consider a mass transfer induced buoyancy force, superimposed on a thermally induced one, in a flow generated adjacent to a vertical surface. Flow and stability were investigated for a Prandtl number of 0.7; for Schmidt numbers of 2.0, 0.94, and 0.2; and for different magnitudes of the buoyancy effects.
