Abstract.The structure of the abdomen of males and females ofLoboscelidiaWestwood has been examined in order to establish the probable relationships of the family‐group taxon based onLoboscelida.The abdomens are described, figured and compared with those of possible sister‐groups. Other aspects of morphology and life‐history are discussed or summarized. In conclusion,. the Loboscelidiinae is placed as a subfamily of Chrysididae closely related to the Amiseginae.Loboscelidiais shown to be noticeably sexually dimorphic.ScelidolobaMaa&Yoshimoto is newly synonymized withLoboscelidia, and a replacement name is proposed for an included sp
