AbstractThe paper includes statistics of the general monthly rainfall over the British Isles, both in inches and as percentages of the average, for the seventy years 1870‐1939. The general trend of the variations is shown by diagrams of ten‐year means for each month, based on the similar statistics for England and Wales, Scotland and Ireland separately.
