AbstractMutants temperature‐sensitive for growth have been isolated from the established line of Chinese hamster fibroblasts Wg1A. These mutants, together with the ones previously isolated by Roscoe et al. ('73), have been characterized with regard to their cell cycle properties. Most of them become arrested in the G1 phase of the cell cycle when incubated under restrictive conditions.
