摘要:
Phyllanthurinolactone (1) and phyllurine (2) have been isolated as leaf-closing and -opening substance respectively, which controls the nyctinastic movement ofPhyllanthus urinaria.The HPLC analysis of the content of1and2on the plant extracts showed that the content of1changed through a day, while that of2was almost constant. Thus, the nyctinastic leaf-movement was introduced by the change in the content of1in the plant, which is controlled by a biological clock.
