Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the United States. The lung is the number one site for cancer in males, and the third most frequent site in females. During a three year period from 1976 to 1978, 25 male patients, with diagnosed bronchogenic carcinoma, were followed in a nursing home setting. The possible etiologic factors, diagnostic workup, histologic classification, treatment, and management were noted in this group of patients.
