As arthroscopic cruciate techniques have developed, procedures that result in significantly decreased morbidity have become more attractive. From a biomechanic perspective, taking both the semitendinosus and gracilis and using both in a double-looped technique has appeared to significantly increase the strength of the reconstruction. At the present time the Southern California Orthopedic and Sports Medical Group is not augmenting these reconstructions with extraarticular reconstruction. The author's technique is presented in this article.
