摘要:
On September 6, 1990, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services released the report Healthy People 2000: National Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Objectives. Healthy People 2000 outlines three broad goals for public health over the next 10 years: increase the span of healthy life for Americans, reduce health disparities among Americans and achieve access to preventative services for all Americans. To help meet these goals, 298 specific objectives have been identified in 22 separate priority areas including nutrition with flagship objectives to reduce overweight and dietary fat intake.
